Artistivo lists artists across every one of those working methods, and this page is where someone looking for a working artist, to commission, to follow, or simply to find, starts looking, whatever medium that artist happens to work in.

Painting, music, dance, photography, sculpture, animation, film, illustration, literature, theater, craft and fashion each set their own demands on a maker, and the practice reaches a viewer differently depending on which one it is. A still image serves a painter or a photographer, a video serves a dancer or a filmmaker, an audio file serves a composer, a passage of text serves a writer. A page here carries the work in whatever form it was made in, so a composer and a ceramicist can each show what they do rather than forcing one into the other's shape.

Every one of these pages is made and kept by the artist whose name is on it, not assembled by an agency or pulled together from somewhere else. Artistivo hosts the portfolio, the bio, the disciplines and styles an artist works in, and a small set of pieces they have chosen to feature, plus whatever contact details that artist decides to publish alongside it. Some list a way to reach them directly, many do not, and either is the artist's own decision to make. Reading any of it needs no account of your own.

From an artist's page, the surrounding surfaces sit close at hand: the works they have posted, any events they have listed, and the classes some of them teach, each one built from the same practice the portfolio already shows. A visitor who likes a painter's page can move straight to what that painter has made, where they are showing next, or what they teach, without leaving the person behind. Following any of those paths stays inside the same directory of people, never a separate catalog standing apart from the person who made the work.
