The Cult of Beauty

What is beauty, and how do its ideals shape our lives? This CCCB exhibition traces changing beauty standards from Antiquity to today through art, historical objects, documents and contemporary installations. It questions aesthetic norms and makes space for bodies and forms of beauty often excluded from them. At the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB), 21 May–8 November 2026. Open Tuesday–Sunday and public holidays, 10:00–20:00; closed on non-holiday Mondays. Admission: €8 online or €10 at the ticket desk. Sunday visits from 15:00 are free with advance booking.
