Veronika Lemishenko was born in Kharkiv in the Ukraine. She studied at the Kharkiv
High Music School with Larisa Klievtsova, and then in Milda Agazarian’s class at the
Gnessin Music Academy in Moscow. She has also worked with Isabelle Moretti,
Isabelle Perrin, Skaila Kanga, Naoko Yoshino and Mara Galassi. Since 2012,
Veronika Lemishenko has been Principal Harpist with the Ural Academic
Philharmonic Orchestra, under the artistic direction of Dmitry Liss.
Veronika Lemishenko has won prizes at many international competitions, and been
invited to perform at festivals throughout the world. She has been a guest soloist at
La Folle Journée de Nantes, was the 2014 Celebrity Master performer at the Harp
Masters international academy, and she is also a regular jury member at worldwide
competitions. She has toured widely, for example in Japan, France, Germany, Austria,
Hungary, Italy, China, the Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Moldova, Greece, Spain,
Bulgaria and Armenia.
Veronika Lemishenko is the Artistic Director of the “Glowing Harp” competition and
festival in Kharkiv. She has collaborated with the State Academic Chamber Orchestra
of Russia, the Youth United Symphony Orchestra, the Moscow Symphony Orchestra,
the National Symphony Orchestra of the Ukraine, the Kharkiv Philharmonic
Orchestra, and the Zaporizhia Philharmonic Orchestra. She has worked with
conductors like Alexey Utkin, Fabio Mastrangelo, Mark Gorenstein, Sergey Skripka,
Volodymyr Sirenko, Vyacheslav Redya, and Yuri Yanko. Veronika Lemishenko’s
career was recently profiled in the Paris-based online magazine Harpblog.
