Suzanne Burke

Hello my name is Suzanne Burke. I was raised deep in mountains of beautiful Colorado,on a small horse ranch. The conditions of my childhood where pretty harsh as the mountains where cold and horse ranching hard. My family was very poor. We  even lived with out such luxuries as running water. I however had the best toys and entertainment  a child could have, provided to me by mother nature. I have been sculpting since I was about three years old making clay ,mud ash and pine bow figures and bowls. I have a special love for animals.  Draft Horses have to be my favorite. I adore children as well. I did raise eight children, five of whom where adopted as tiny babies in addition to my three biological sons. With my youngest sons nearing adulthood I have plenty of time to once again sink myself into my art. I work for the elderly in a assisted living facility three night a week. The rest are spent sculpting and painting. My heart is an artist, I am very tactile, touching everything I can, always noticing the beauty and wonder this world holds. I hope you enjoy my art.
