Dance education and experiences 

Paola forms in ballet since the age of four, first in her hometown and after moving both in Italy and abroad in Europe – Ecole Supérieure Rosella Hightower (Cannes), Studio Harmonic (Paris), Opus Ballet (Florence), S83 Physical Theater (Milan), Henny Jurriens Stichting (Amsterdam). Her training and stage experience includes jazz, modern and contemporary dance.

In the 2013 she moved to Holland starting to work as freelance dancer and teacher.

2015-2016 dancer with the company Dancers On Stage by Isabelle Beernaert – “Under My Skin” (NL & BE tour) and “Glass”.

Other experiences in Holland: performance for the event UitMarkt (Museumplein Amsterdam, Aug.’15); dancer protagonist for the video clip “Here I go again”by Richard Brokensha (NDSM Amsterdam, 2015); dancer in the production “Il Viaggio a Reims” Het Dutch National Opera (Amsterdam, Jan.Feb.’15); performance “DropLess” , choreography A.Szivkov & P.Ghidini (OpenLucht Theatre Festival Aug.'16; Theater Perdu Amsterdam, Feb.’15 and at the SzólóDuó Festival, Budapest, Jan.’15); guest dancer for the program Holland’s Got Talent (Oct.’14, Hilversum Media Park).

In Italy, among other, she has participated for several years in competitions and dance festivals dancing pieces of the classical repertoire. She collaborated and danced with the company S83 Physical Theatre, performing at the Folkwang Physical Theatre Festival (Essen), she danced for three years (’10-’13) in the company Doppio Movimento by Valentina Benedetti (Brescia); she took part in two musical productions: ‘Il Risorto’ during the World Youth Day 2013 and ‘In Viaggio Verso Broadway’ (Mantova’11).

 

 

Parallel to the dance career, since several years she began her experience as teacher.

For this purpose she studied and received two certifications:

Certification with honors in Teaching Classical Ballet at A.I.D.A – with mentors and teachers from the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, during which, along with the ballet technique she deepened other subjects such as musicality, anatomy, psychology for teaching.

Currently she’s involved in two other subjects for which she will achieve the certification during this year: Certification in Health Dance Practice (SiDI) and Deep Tissues and Sport Massage (ITM, Amsterdam).
