Maaman Rezaee is an Iranian filmmaker, writer director, based in the U.S whose work brings the elements of both national cinemas together.
She has written and directed a number of short films prior to this one which have been screened locally and internationally.
Born and raised in Shiraz, Iran, she started her artistic life with music, dance and painting. She later moved to Tehran to attend BIHE, an underground Universitiy for Baha'is, a religous minority in Iran who are not allowed to attend universities. She studies architecture for a number of years in BIHE before moving to upstate New York to finish her bachelor degree in fine arts, concentrating on photography, video arts and urban design all of which play a major role in her style as a filmmaker.
She's currently a MFA candidate at Temple University and her upcoming film, Family of Too Many, is in production.
