Kseniia Shumna

My name is Kseniia Shumna. I was born in Ukraine in 1990. I am 27 years old. I started to play domra at 7 years old. Domra it is national Ukrainian and Russian instrument. It is like a mandolin, but it has a four strings like a violin.

I was studying how to play domra in Ukraine. At first it was Small Academy of Artists in Poltawa. In this academy i was studying how to play domra, piano, guitar, how to draw, to dance and history of artsts.

There i finished Musical College. There i was studying how to play domra, piano, violin and another musical subjects.

In 2010 I enrolled at Donetsk National Academy of Music. My teacher there was a legend of domra Valeriy Ivko. I have given several solo concerts during my studying there.

In 2015 I completed Kharkiv National University of Artsts and obtained complete higher education in the speciality "Musical art" and obtained qualification "solo performer, folk orchestra (ensemble) performer, folk orchestra conductor, teacher (domra)"

I was won a lot of musical All-Ukrainian and International competitions in Ukraine and Russian.
