Fred Carrilho - fred.carrilho@gmail.com Curriculum Vitae Musical Studies Fred Carrilho started his studies on the guitar with Mr Odilon Pereira dos Santos. He studied at the Conservatory Lins de Vasconcelos from 1982 to 1990, where he was a pupil of the guitarist and teacher Sandra Maria Pereira da Costa from 1982 to 1985; and later, with Maestro Gualtieri Beloni Filho, concluding his studies in classical guitar with honors and diplomas; Mr. Carrilho studied with Professor Henrique Pinto from 1993 to 1998 with whom he maintained a Guitar Duo from 1998 to 2005; and music composition with Achille Guido Picchi, Raul do Valle and Jose Augusto Mannis. 1. Education Undergraduate by the Music Conservatory “Lins de Vasconcelos”, São Paulo, Brazil Undergraduate degree in Music, with major in Classical guitar from the Faculty of Arts Alcantara Machado (FAAM-UniFMU). Master in Music from UNICAMP (Campinas State University, Sao Paulo Brazil). Advisors: Jônatas Manzolli and Adolfo Maia Jr.. Thesis: “Stochastic Process with Generalized Distributions for Music Composition” Undergraduate degree in Music Composition from UNICAMP. 2. Teaching Activities Mr Carrilho has working in music education for over 25 years with a focus on the guitars and music theory (harmony, perception, analysis and orchestration). Master-classes on acoustic guitar and electric guitar in Warsaw, Poland. Guest Professor in the discipline of aesthetics and history of music in the graduate studies in Art Education at UNI-Araras. Guest Professor in the discipline of Digital Sound Process and Composition at the Universidade Paulista (UNIP). 3. Professional Experience “Brazilian Guitar” [vol.I] CD recordings and releases. Artistic Production Concert during Carlos Gomes Festival 2015 when Mr Carrilho performed his piece, including Concerto for Guitar (2015) / Brazilian Première and A. Carlos Gomes world premiéres arrangements for guitar done by Fred Carrilho. Currently Mr Carrilho is working in his new album for Guitar Solo titled “Unction Ouverture”, which will be a Double CD, completely containned with his own compositions.
