Alexander Ivanov

Hello, my name is Alexander Ivanov (Capricorn). I am 37 years old and photography has already been my passion for over the last 14 years. I have started experimenting with my first semi-professional film SLR camera and it captured me, as the results were stunning comparing to the compact cameras of that time. A few years later I passed to digital photography, as it expanded the possibilities and allowed to proceed with the experiments at lower costs. From time to time I still use my first film camera and the medium format 'Rollei Flex', as it gives you some 'old school' feeling and, surprisingly, perfect result, as the film can't be beaten by 'the digital world' in terms of quality and colours.

One of my most favourite genres is Reporting (Event photography) that develops the attentiveness and advances your quick eye. That is why I am fond of weddings when you are required maximum concentration in order to capture the best sincere and candid moments of the Special Day, hence most of my weddings are photojournalistic-styled with the happiness and true emotions as the priority.

I am very sociable and enjoy meeting new people from various backgrounds and to create images that show the best of the specific person, being a long-lasting memory, but not just another 'pout' or a set of snaps. I am openhearted to all positive people and I am proud to having become friends with most of my clients. In my opinion, the relaxed atmosphere is essential for getting the best shots – even if the time is limited.

Having my first Bachelor's degree in Tourism and being a passionate traveller myself, I enjoy visiting new countries and cities. When I do that, I am always trying to bring home not just another 'pack of standard post-cards', but a fresh view on what is worth seeing. 

Regardless of what I take pictures of, I always try to use individual approach and do my best to capture the best moments as the images you receive will be your long-lasting memories. My motto is 'Creativity Is Vitality!'.
