Luba was born in the small village in the Ukraine. Father left the family when she turn 2. Her mother worked very hard to provide for Luba and her brother. When she turn 11 years old, her mother died in a wild fire, saving many school children. Luba lived with grandmother for two years, prior to her grandmother pasted away. She start working when she turn 13. Luba will rise at 5 AM to milk cows at a local farm and after school she did cleaning in the local hospital. The only outlet for Luba was her art. She would paint every free moment she get. Using pencils, brushes anything she can find. She paint animals, flowers, everything she can see. Being very poor, when asked to come in to classmate birthday, she would paint flowers as a present. Recently talking to one of the classmate we find out that she still has rose painting by Luba on her wall. In 1980 Luba moved to Siberia with her husband, where she study art history in college. Then in 1990 Luba with her husband and son moved to Israel. Three years later the family moved to United State and found home in San Francisco. Luba study fabric design in Berkeley and worked as a freelance fabric designer. In 1998 Luba with her husband and two boys, moved to the beautiful Santa Rosa, where they resides up to now. In 2010 she began study under world renowned master, Charles Baker. He taught her the old masters painting technique. In 2012 Luba began exhibiting her work in various galleries and compete in a several shows in Europe, where she received first and second places. Her paintings can be found in several museum. This year she did two very successful personal shows in Las Vegas and Florida. Her paintings full of love. You can find her second signature in her paintings, it is lady bug hidden somewhere. Luba never stop studying. This year she taking classes in Angel’s Academy of Art in Florence, Italy and in San Francisco at Sadie Valery Art Atelier
