Dream in a Dream
This project for the sculptural object class involved the creation of a headdress conceived through the principles of recycling. The design was to be inspired by the oeuvre of Manolo Valdés, a Spanish artist recognized for his multidisciplinary practice. My design drew inspiration from Asian cultural elements. The primary form of the headdress was based on the Qing Guan Mao hat from China, constructed using pliable wire. The frontal aspect of the headdress, including the incorporation of ears, was shaped by the Japanese Kitsune (fox spirit) archetype. The materials employed in the construction of the headdress consisted of recycled aluminum plates, jewelry rings, and sweet iron wire. Hat:@velvettuisecoinin Model: @histeria_wolf_abundance
