Under Dark Skies (Staged Reading)

You're invited to an intimate staged reading of Joy Gharoro-Akpojotor's forthcoming play, Under The Skies. The play is an exploration of black relationships, masculinity, it's fragility and the things that we choose not to talk about, examining our mental state. Derek and Marie's marriage isn't working, it hasn't been working for a long time. On the day of Anthony's funeral, Marie's best friend, Derek realises that he may have also lost his wife. Through confrontation, they unearths secrets and burdens, but ultimately will they be able to work through them? The cast includes Yrsa Daley-Ward and Damola Adelaja. There will be a short Q&A after, along with some food and drink. We hope that you can make it.
